August, 1996: Business plan written for the founding of Jocelyn Lonen Winery by Lonen Clayton Curtis, III, founder of Jocelyn Lonen Winery
June 1997: Lon Curtis purchases a 15-acre parcel of land
on Soda Canyon Road in Napa for the development of vineyards.
August, 1998: Two acres of Cabernet Sauvignon are planted
in Santa Cruz Mountains.
March, 2001: The 2000 Jocelyn Russian River Chardonnay is
released. This is the first wine available under the Jocelyn
label.
September, 2002: Lon is diagnosed with brain cancer but continues
to pursue his dream of developing a world class wine brand
under Jocelyn Lonen Winery.
February, 2003: The 2001 Jocelyn Russian River Port is released.
April, 2003: Lon’s daughter Brandi Jocelyn Pack begins
working with the winery full time.
October, 2003: The 2001 Jocelyn Napa Valley Cabernet is released.
Release party held at the Curtis family’s Santa Cruz
Mountain estate vineyard.
December, 2003: Lonen Curtis and his family move from the
Santa Cruz Mountains to the Napa Valley in order to grow the
wine business.
April, 2004: The 2001 Reserve Krupp Vineyard Napa Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon is released along with the 2002 Reserve
Russian River Chardonnay.
December, 2004: Brain cancer taking its toll, Lon Curtis
passes away, leaving the winery to be managed by his daughter
Brandi.
March, 2005: The 2003 Jocelyn Russian River Chardonnay is
released.
April, 2005: The 2003 Jocelyn Napa Valley Zinfandel port
is released.
June, 2005: The family purchases 44-acre Atlas Peak estate
vineyard property designated as the home of Jocelyn Lonen Winery.
